Preventive maintenance in mining is essential to ensure safety, efficiency and extension of the useful life of equipment.
At JLMIngenieria® we provide you with some general instructions for the preventive maintenance of our equipment within mining facilities:
a) Maintenance scheduling. It is vitally important to plan and develop a detailed preventive maintenance plan for each piece of equipment, based on our recommendations. This includes regular inspections, lubrication, replacement of parts due to wear, etc.
b) Regular inspections. At JLMIngenieria® we recommend that periodic visual inspections be carried out on all equipment to identify any signs of wear, damage or malfunction. These inspections must be carried out before and after each work shift.

e) Maintenance of electrical and electronic systems. Functional tests must be carried out on the control and automation systems to ensure their correct operation.
f) Control of fluids and filters. Monitoring fluid levels (oil, coolant, fuel, etc.) and maintaining them at proper levels is essential to ensure optimal operation.
g) Monitoring of conditions. Implement condition monitoring systems such as oil analysis, thermography, vibration, etc. , also helps to detect possible problems in early stages and take corrective measures before failures occur that lead to the inactivity of the installation for a long period of time.
